Spring style: everyone has their own individual take on what they think warm-weather attire should look like. But it’s unanimous that the introduction of prints can make a world of difference. For some, florals are non-negotiable. While for others, it’s very much about imparting that brighter personal stamp on their clothing, without veering into overly kitsch or pretty. So, follow in the footsteps of these five ASOS Insiders who are bringing the sunshine in very different ways…
Little Miss Sunshine
If in doubt, go all out. That’s the saying, right? And ASOS Insider Elizabeth goes full holiday vibes with this ASOS MADE IN KENYA jumpsuit in a bold mustard yellow with multicolour floral patterning. With the halterneck and cinched waist structure, it’s a flattering all-rounder. Plus the wide-leg adds comfort + day-appropriate points, while contrast green and yellow Nike Cortez round off the island colour palette nicely.
Getting shirty
Prints don’t have to be shouty to nail that spring spirit. It can be as subtle as selective colour pairings and some low-key patterning. ASOS Insider Hannah leads the charge with this dreamy two-tone look, centred by an oversized horoscope-printed shirt from Weekday. White wide-leg jeans ups the overall Scandi feel, but it’s the white socks peeping out and the babiest of pink sneaks that gives the look very cool grandadcore vibes. A woven white grab-handle bag finishes the grown-up getup.
Red flag
If the thought of florals, pastels or anything remotely tropical sends unwelcome shivers up your spine, make your foray into prints a slightly edgier deal with patterns from seasons past (but with the twist of season-appropriate lighter layering). ASOS Insider Kicki nails it with checkerboard motocross jeans in a baggy fit and turned-up hem. An oversized black tee over the top gives a distinct skater feel, as does the addition of sporty contrast red and white high-tops.

Tartan tales
Festival season is officially upon us, but it can be hard to nail your field-based wardrobe without going down the floral head-garland route (never, never go down the floral head-garland route). One person who has the aesthetic well and truly mastered is ASOS Insider Ebony, with her fierce Clueless-meets-Kill-Bill two-piecer. Yellow tartan is the sunshine-based saviour here: in a halterneck crop top and wide-leg trouser combo. Chunky silver Nike Air Max 97s add a casual street-style element.

More is more
And for when you just can’t settle on one print? ASOS Insider Barbara demonstrates that there’s cool in the chaos with her multi-print spring look, which somehow just works. The key to clash, and to clash well, is to keep your colour palette somewhat aligned. Monochrome etched trousers get a pop of colour with a tucked-in red slogan tee, as well as checks thrown into the mix with a vintage waistcoat. To finish? A black and white cow-print denim jacket, plus some checkerboard sliders in matching muted shades.
